More Off Season Blues and Maintenance
March 7, 2010
At this point the bike is slowly coming together when I'm not studying or working. I fixed a few minor issues I had, like the broken spool bolt and finally installed a new spool. I also got a new keyless gas cap. I'm pretty happy with it. It was just a cheap eBay CNC machined model, but it does the job.

Exhaust Tip Fix – Off Season Mod #3
January 31, 2010
Last season I lowsided twice on the right side. Both times the carbon fiber exhaust tip took some damage. As you can see in the photos there was a pretty big hole in the tip. Not only did this make the bike unbearably loud, there was still a lot of debris caught in the muffler from the two offs.

New Clutch – Off Season Mod #2
January 5, 2010

Having a dedicated and properly setup track bike meant I was able to push my limits much further and my laptimes dropped over 30 seconds from the beginning of the season, and were still dropping at my last trackday. The highlight of my season was definitely my first WERA race at Grattan Raceway. It was a combined national race, which meant larger grids and faster riders from all over the country. ...read more...
